As a reminder, only you can claim your eCard after you complete your course(s) at Help-A-Heart CPR it cannot be claimed by someone on your behalf. Please follow these instructions to claim your eCard for your Help-A-Heart CPR AHA course(s): 1. You will receive an email from eCards@heart.org with a link inviting you to claim your eCard online. 2. If you do not receive this email, please check your Spam or Junk folders prior to alerting Help-A-Heart CPR. To try to prevent the email from being marked as Spam or Junk, please add the email addresses eCards@heart.org, info@helpaheartcpr.com, and/or Tracy@helpaheartcpr.com to your Address Book or Contacts in your email server. 3. The link within the email will direct you to the Student Profile web-page, which will be prepopulated with your first name, last name, email address, eCard code, AHA Instructor name, and Training Center information. Adding your phone number is optional. 4. Once you have confirmed that your information is accurate, you will set up a security question and answer to access your eCard(s) in the future. 5. After setting up your security question and answer, accept the terms and conditions of the site and click “Submit.” 6. You will be directed to fill out a brief survey about the AHA course you just completed. Your answers to these questions will help improve the quality of future AHA trainings at Palm Desert Resuscitation Education LLC. 7. After you complete the survey, your eCard will be displayed. You will have 3 options to view or print it: Save as PDF: Upon choosing your preferred size to view, you can save your eCard to your computer for future use. QR Code: For students with a QR code reader, you can access your eCard on a mobile device as needed. Printing: Your eCard can be viewed as a PDF and can be printed either wallet size (2.5” x 3.5”) to be cut out or full size (8.5” x 11”) for easy filing. Please note that if you do not claim your eCard, you will not be able to show proof of course completion to your employer. If your employer requires proof of completion, you can email them a copy from the eCard landing page. After you have accessed your eCard, you will receive an email from the AHA confirming that your eCard has been claimed. You should save this confirmation email for your records. You can view your eCard online through the AHA’s student website at any time. Simply enter your first and last name and email address, or the eCard code found on your eCard. Your employer can verify your eCard at www.heart.org/cpr/mycards to confirm issuance. Employers are only able to verify your card if you have completed the aforementioned steps.
Do You offer pre-scheduled classes at offices or businesses?
You are welcome to set up off-site AHA or ARC courses if you have at least 8 students who need AHA or ARC certification(s). Please refer to our course descriptions and schedules for more information. Do not hesitate to call us anytime by phone, email, or in person as a walk-in.
Can we get discounts on group classes?
Yes, we do give discounts to groups of 8 or more students for our classroom-based, online, or off-site courses. Terms and conditions can be discussed if you call our office.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing as most classes involve extensive hands-on practice. If you have long hair it’s best to wear it back.
I took a class but lost my card.What do i do?
Give us a call at the office and we will send you a new card. The cost for a replacement card for CPR, First Aid or BLS is $20. ACLS, PALS, and PEARS replacement cards are $25.
HOW DO I PAY FOR THE CLASS?
You can register online 24 hours a day on our training and registration portal or you may pay by credit or debit card over the phone at 210-380-5344. If you’d like to pay by cash or money order, you can come in to our San Antonio office (1518 Blanco Suite 102 San Antonio, Texas 78212) to register. If you would like to come to one of our other offices, please call ahead of time so that we can make sure someone is there to help you. Sorry, we don’t accept personal checks.
How Long are certifications valid?
All of our certifications (CPR, First Aid, BLS, Pediatric First Aid and CPR, ACLS/ALS, PALS, PEARS, NRP) are valid for 2 years; with the exception of Bloodborne Pathogens which is valid for 1 year.
CAN i enroll in a cpr class the same day that the class is being taught?

How Long Are CPR Classes?
The CPR and First Aid classes offered at Help-A-Heart CPR vary in times. The class length is based on the suggested times and curriculum offered by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and/or American Safety Health Institute.
