Help-A-Heart CPR, LLC offers Health & Safety Institute (HSI) courses to better suit various students and organizations. The Health and Safety Institute resuscitation courses are administered and developed by the Health and Safety Institute (HSI).

The Health & Safety Institute (HSI) is a cost effective training alternative by allowing the customer to choose from an extensive selection of available courses and combining them into a course to fit their needs.
  • HSI's training programs are nationally recognized and are endorsed, accepted, approved, or meet the requirements of nearly 1000 state regulatory agencies and occupational licensing boards.
  • HSI programs are designed to provide a choice of instructional elements to deliver knowledge content, direct and control classroom discussions, conduct practical skill sessions, and evaluate student performance.
  • Training materials include classroom, online, and blended learning elements, print and digital student handbooks with skill guides and scenario sheets, PowerPoint presentations, DVDs, designed maximize success in the classroom.

HSI CERTIFICATION CLASSES

CPR and AED

The HSI CPR/AED course is designed specifically for the layperson and perfect for those needing training in the workplace or in the community. This course provides training for adult, child, and infant. Certification is valid for 2 years. **This class is NOT intended for Healthcare Providers*** (Please take our BLS Provider course if you are in healthcare!)

CPR AED and First Aid

The HSI CPR, AED and First Aid Course is designed to provide a wide variety of individuals the ability to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking on conscious and unconscious victims of all ages and administer basic First Aid. Certification is valid for 2 years. **This class is NOT intended for Healthcare Providers*** (Please take our BLS Provider course if you are in healthcare!)

First Aid

The HSI First Aid course provides the student with basic first aid knowledge, skills and confidence to respond to the sick or injured. This course provides training for adult, child, and infant. Certification is valid for 2 years.

5. Breathing Emergencies
6. Allergic Reactions and Epi-Pen Use
7. Poisoning

Bloodborne Pathogens

The HSI Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) course provides the student with an understanding of bloodborne pathogens and an understanding of how to protect themselves against the transmission of bloodborne diseases while providing first aid. This bloodborne pathogens certification course assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030). Certification is valid for 1 year.

Cost: $45.00

First Aid with BBP

This HSI First Aid course covers Basic First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens. This course provides training for adult, child, and infant. Certification is valid for 2 years.
