The chance of surviving an out of hospital sudden cardiac arrest is less than 5%. If an automated external defibrillator (AED) is applied to the patient within the first two minutes of the arrest, the chance of survival is 80%. Anyone, trained or untrained, can use an AED.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are affordable and easy to use. If a person collapses and stops breathing, an AED should be used as soon as possible. Defibrillating the heart within the first few minutes increases the chances of survival.
We offer both automatic and semi-automatic AED's for purchase. When the Fully Automatic AED detects a shockable heart rhythm, it delivers the shock on its own. No one needs to push a button. Once the Fully Automatic AED prompts “Don’t Touch Patient,” and the heart analysis begins, if a shock is needed, it will be delivered automatically after a brief verbal countdown.

Phillips AED

A. HeartStart FRx: Includes features to help guide the treatment of sudden cardiac arrest with easy setup, real-time metronome and clear, step-by-step voice commands paced to your actions.
  • Provides CPR instructions for infants and children under 25 kg or 55 lbs or 8 years old, and adults and children over 25 kg or 55 lbs or greater than 8 years old.
  • Has an optional Infant/Child Key; simply insert it and the defibrillator adjusts instruction and therapy eliminating the need for additional infant/child pads.

AED Inspection and Prevention
Do you have an AED but need to establish routine maintenance checks and preventative maintenance? We offer various AED preventative and inspection package which includes:
  1. Recording serial numbers along with exact location of AEDs
  2. Physical examination of subscribed AED unit(s)
  3. Use of Manufacturer's software to get programming information and actual battery percentage and battery insert date as available
  4. Recording expiration dates of adult and pediatric electrodes
  5. Recording Battery Energy level as available
  6. Replacement of AED supplies when needed, based on expiration date and/or manufacturer recall. Extra replacement accessory costs are not included and will be invoiced separately.
  7. Evaluation of signage as required by law
  8. Completing report with Inspection recommendations sent to AED Coordinator
  9. Ensuring AED is in proper working condition and in compliance with manufacturer's guidelines
  10. Performing any software upgrades needed
