The BLS/Heartsaver Instructor Renewal Course is designed to assist American Heart Association (AHA) BLS instructors maintain current instructor status. Instructors currently aligned with Help-A-Heart CPR are required to attend this renewal course before their instructor status expires.
The ACLS Instructor Renewal Course is designed to assist American Heart Association (AHA) BLS instructors maintain current instructor status. Instructors currently aligned with Help-A-Heart CPR are required to attend this renewal course before their instructor status expires.
The PALS Instructor Renewal Course is designed to assist American Heart Association (AHA) BLS instructors maintain current instructor status. Instructors currently aligned with Help-A-Heart CPR are required to attend this renewal course before their instructor status expires.
COST: $275.00 (All AHA Instructor Disciplines) All AHA Instructor renewal class times are four hours and thirty minutes (4:30). Please plan on arriving 5 to 10 minutes early.
Steps To Complete
Make sure that you have taught, either as the Lead or Assisting Instructor, 4 courses over the past 2 years. If you have taught for other agencies where the paperwork was turned into another training center, please provide us with the rosters from those courses.
Complete your Prerequisites for the Instructor Renewal Course at least 5 business days before class.

Email Help-A-Heart CPR a copy of your photo ID, a CURRENT AHA Instructor Card and a CURRENT AHA Provider Card in your discipline.
During the AHA Instructor Renewal class you will be tested or evaluated on 3 things: 1. Your ACLS, BLS, and/or PALS skills. 2. Passing a ACLS, BLS, and/or PALS Instructor written exam with an 84% or better. 3. Evaluated teaching of the provider course on a designated date. Be prepared to lecture on any ACLS, BLS, and/or PALS topic, and work within the groups of students when testing of skills.
