What are the cpr steps?

  1. Identify that the individual is unconscious and not responsive.
  2. Call 911 or tell a bystander to call while you perform CPR.
  3. Position one hand in the center of the victim’s chest.
  4. Place your other hand above the resting hand and interlock your fingers.
  5. Begin chest compressions.
  6. Give 30 compressions.
  7. Open the airway by tilting the victim’s head back enough that their mouth falls open.
  8. While holding the patient’s chin (so the mouth stays open) use your other hand to pinch their nostrils shut.
  9. Place your mouth over the mouth of the victim and breathe in. You should see their chest rise and fall.
  10. Alternate between compressions with a ratio of 30 compression and 2 and rescue breaths until help arrives, or the victim becomes responsive.​​

AMERICAN RED CROSS (ARC) CLASSES: We are an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider (LTP) and facilitate various ARC certification classes including BLS for Healthcare Providers, First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST), ALS, and PALS. In addition, we also offer the ALS, BLS, and PALS Instructor Development/Certification course.
6. SMALL CLASS SIZE: We understand that everyone has a different learning style so we choose to keep our class size small, with most classes under 9 students, in order to optimize personalized learning and instruction.
